Here are some videos from someone who is just as O.C.D. about car cleanliness as I am. All of these are from /DRIVE CLEAN and are quite helpful. What tips do you have for keeping your baby clean after honing around?

(there are even more videos, but these are the ones that I feel are to most useful)

Basic Car Wash Technique (Audi R8 Blackbird)

Interior car cleaning

Sealant and Waxing(on a F430)

Top Ten Detailing Mistakes

Pre car show tips

Polishers and swirl removal tips

Glass cleaning and polishing

paint chip repair

Add your tips on what to do, or what not to do, underneath.

Use a separate (and proper) rag for the interior, exterior, and the windows. also use the proper detergents for each. my mother pestered me into using a "eco friendly" equivalent to Windex. after I washed her car, she put the whole blame on me, because it didn't turn out right.

Great series of videos. My engine bays and windshields now look a little less nasty because of these!

Particularly for this time of year, always always ALWAYS get as much snow off of the bottom of your car as you can. Road salt is some nasty stuff. It's always worst just behind the wheel wells. Every time I get home, I knock it off as thoroughly as I can.

Where I live, they use gravel instead of road salt. Sure it sticks in your tires, but it is a thousand times better than road salt. They still use road salt when you get into the heavier populated city area though.
